Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity is having a fun event on Friday, October 14 and 10 am until 2 pm, for a great cause!

The all-women nail hammering relay race competition will benefit building affordable housing in in Somerset and Hunterdon counties, and you will be able to enjoy great food, fun, and a competition to see if all those workouts you do has helped with that upper body strength!  Hammer your way to victory at Raritan Valley Community College.

Habitat for Humanity believes that home is the foundation for our lives, and should provide an atmosphere where people can thrive; so, since 1976, Habitat for Humanity has been driven by the vision that everyone deserves a decent place to live and thanks to volunteers and events such as this, recipients can save and live a better quality of life.

Ginny Otte is a lifelong resident of New Jersey, having grown up in Lincoln Park, and lived in Wayne. She began her career in radio as the result of a prank phone call where the on-air personality she called said “please call again tomorrow,” and the station hired her to produce the show two months later; by 2006, Ginny began working middays at WMTR, and considers spending middays with listeners for so many years to be one of the highlights of her life. Ginny’s hobbies include genetic genealogy, family trees, knitting, crocheting, camping and hiking. She is a mother to three adult children and a grandmother to one.
