November 6th marks the birth anniversary of Glenn Frey, singer, songwriter, and actor, who was one of the founding members of the Eagles. He and Don Henley were responsible for writing many of the songs by the group, which became one of the most successful of all time. Glenn played guitar and keyboards, and sang lead on such hits as “Take It Easy”, Peaceful Easy Feeling”, “Tequila Sunrise”. “Already Gone”, “Lyin’ Eyes”, “New Kid In Town”, and “Heartache Tonight”. After the Eagles broke up (temporarily) in 1980, Glenn went on to a solo career. We lost him at the age of just 67 in January, 2016.
Here’s a live performance of one of his most beautiful songs as a solo artist, “The One You Love”.
