Today we celebrate the 75th birthday of Michael Douglas. It’s also the birthday of his lovely wife, actress Catherine Zeta Jones, who turns 50.
Michael is the son of the legendary Kirk Douglas, still alive at the age of 102! Michael won 3 straight Emmy nominations in the early 1970’s for his work on TV’s “Streets Of San Francisco”. Then turning his attention to films, Douglas produced “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”, which won the Academy Award for Best picture. His movie career rapidly took off.
On today’s Wayback Wednesday, we look at his Gordon Gekko character from the 1987 movie “Wall Street”…and present his infamous Greed is Good speech. Happy birthday Michael Douglas!
