Barack And Michelle Obama To Headline ‘Dear Class Of 2020’ Virtual Graduation Event
In place of in-person ceremonies for the Class of 2020, President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama will both deliver commencement speeches virtually on June 6 via YouTube.
The special is called ‘Dear Class of 2020’ and will feature a lineup of celebrities and global leaders including BTS, Lady Gaga, Sec. Robert M. Gates, Sundar Pichai, Sec. Condoleezza Rice, Malala Yousafzai, among many others.
According to an Obama spokesperson, President and Mrs. Obama will share messages of advice and inspiration across multiple platforms.
In addition, on May 16 President Obama will also appear with high school students on the prime-time special ‘Graduate Together: America Honors the High School Class of 2020.’ The special will air on all major networks and online.
‘Dear Class of 2020’ premieres Saturday, June 6 at 12pm PT / 3pm ET.
