MICHIGAN 41 – PENN STATE 17
In one of the biggest college football games of the season thus far, heard right here on WMTR 1250 Classic Oldies, the Penn State Nittnay Lions had no answer for unbeaten Michigan, falling 41-17. It was Penn State’s first loss of the season, and first “L” in the Big Ten this year.
Michigan improved to 7-0 on the season.
At one point Penn State rallied from a 13-0 deficit to grab a 14-13 lead in the first half. Kaytron Allen scored from one yard out with 6:11 to go in the first half to cut the Michigan lead to 13-7. That scored was buoyed by Sean Clifford’s 62-yard run a few plays earlier.
Later in the first half, Curtis Jacobs picked off a J.J. McCarthy pass and brought it back 47-yards for the score to put Penn State up 14-13.
