National Weather Service Confirms Tornado Hit New Jersey Thursday Morning
The National Weather Service’s storm damage survey team confirmed an EF1 tornado occurred around 5 am today (Thursday, June 9) in the Blackwood section of Gloucester Township, New Jersey.

The NWS has reported that there was “quite a bit of tree damage” and “is in relation to the severe thunderstorms” that traveled through the state early this morning.
Officers of the Gloucester Township Police Department along with local fire departments went door to door to check on residents. Several trees were knocked down onto roads and parked vehicles, and luckily there were no personal injuries.
