Classic Oldies News

DUBLIN, IRELAND - MAY 17: Mick Jagger of The Rolling Stones performs live on stage on the opening night of the european leg of their No Filter tour at Croke Park on May 17, 2018 in Dublin, Ireland; NEW YORK, NY - NOVEMBER 10: John Mulaney performs on stage at A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Cure Parkinson's benefitting The Michael J. Fox Foundation at the Hilton New York on November 10, 2018.

John Mulaney‘s Netflix special Kid Gorgeous is full of hilarious stories and other anecdotes, but his tale about working with Mick Jagger when he was a writer for Saturday Night Live is truly something spectacular.

In the clip below recently released on Netflix’s YouTube channel, Mulaney says of working with Jagger, “I pitched him a joke, and he went, ‘NOT FUNNY!’ I mean, people say that on the internet, but never to your face does a British billionaire in leather pants go, ‘NOT FUNNY!'”

Mulaney then recalls spending two hours with Jagger writing a song for a sketch, and apparently, the songwriting process for Mulaney was a little unique. Honestly, just watch the video below to see how everything plays out. It provides for a great laugh.
