Gene Simmons & Paul Stanley’s Rock & Brews Offering Free Food to TSA Employees
The current partial government shutdown has led to a number of dining establishments offering deals on their menu, but Rock & Brews, the restaurant chain co-owned by KISS’ Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, has taken things one step further.
During the partial government shutdown, Rock & Brews will be offering free meal options to TSA employees when they show proper ID. TSA employees will have their choice of a free Pulled Pork sandwich or a Strawberry Fields salad.
In a joint statement, Simmons and Stanley said, “We are proud to operate restaurants at airports and respect the diligent, hard work of each and every TSA employee to ensure the safety of travelers. They touch our lives daily, and as long as they are working without pay, the least we can do is provide them with a delicious meal to show our support.”
This offer will continue until TSA receives a paycheck, however, it’s only valid at stand-alone Rock & Brews locations, not locations in arenas, casinos or airports, which seems a bit counterintuitive. “Security limitations” is the reason cited in the offer’s press release, and that does make some sense. Who hasn’t seen someone super drunk at the airport? (It is always 5 o’clock at the airport, after all.) Imagine that person demanding a free sandwich and not understanding the deal is for only TSA employees. It would be a mess!
