‘The Lion King’ Reboot Cast Is A Dream Come True
NEW YORK, NY - MAY 27: People wait in line to see the matinee show of The Lion King on May 27, 2015 in New York City. The Broadway season broke records with 13.1 million attendees and $1.365 billion worth of tickets sold in the theater year, which ended Sunday. (Photo by Andrew Burton/Getty Images)
Images were circulating, sharing the “to be” cast, but we’ve got confirmation from Beyonce!
The cast for ‘The Lion King’ reboot is here, and boy is it good.
Some of the highlights are, of course, the Queen Bey as Nala, Donald Glover (AKA Childish Gambino) as Simba, James Earl Jones is reprising Mufasa, John Oliver is Zazu, and the honor of Timon and Pumba goes to Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner.
I have only one complaint. ONLY ONE! How come they didn’t ask Whoopi Goldberg to reprise her role? I can’t imagine her character being played by anyone else.
Check out the casting below:
Amy Cooper is part of the Circle of Life. It moves us all.
