Sharon Osbourne Says She Attempted Suicide After Ozzy’s Affair
Sharon Osbourne is opening up about the devastating moment she learned of her husband, Ozzy Osbourne’s cheating. Speaking on stage at her show, Sharon Osbourne: Cut The Crap, in London on Sunday (January 21), the TV personality, 71, revealed that she attempted suicide after learning of her rocker husband’s affair. “He always, always had groupies, and I was so used to that,” Sharon said, according to The Mirror. However, when the Black Sabbath frontman knew the woman’s name and where she lived and worked, Sharon couldn’t handle the emotional investment. “I took, I don’t know how many pills.” The reality star, who shares children Aimee, 40, Kelly, 39, and Jack, 38, with Ozzy, explained that she felt her children could “take care of themselves” since they were “older.”
“So, I took an overdose and locked myself in the bedroom,” she said. “The maid tried to come in to clean the room and saw me.” Ozzy and Sharon married in 1982, but in May 2016, it was revealed that they were splitting amid reports he had a four-year affair with a hairstylist. By August, Ozzy entered rehab for sex addiction and the couple reconciled the following month and renewed their wedding vows in Las Vegas on Mother’s Day in 2017. Ozzy told Hello! Magazine that the renewal was their “real wedding day.” He said of his relationship with Sharon, “This honestly feels like a new beginning. I made a huge mistake. Without Sharon, I am nothing. I love her. I can honestly say that I have never loved anybody other than my wife.”

Months after renewing their vows, Sharon opened up about Ozzy’s previous infidelities with The Telegraph, “There wasn’t just one woman; there were six of them,” she told the publication in 2017. “When I found out about the hairdresser, I couldn’t believe it. Because none of these women were show ponies; he was doing it to fill the void in some way.” Reflecting on his cheating in a 2020 interview with British GQ, Ozzy regrets his choices and proclaimed he doesn’t do it anymore. “I got my reality check and I’m lucky she didn’t leave me,” he told the publication. “I’m not proud of that. I was pissed off with myself. But I broke her heart.”
