Stevie Nicks on Why She Still Wears a Mask
Stevie Nicks is still often seen wearing a mask if she’s out in public. In fact, she was spotted wearing one when she went to see Taylor Swift perform in Dublin this past summer.
Nicks is still vigilant about getting Covid, due to her having asthma and her age. She touches on this in a new interview with Rolling Stone. Even though she says, “I f—ing hate the masks,” she continues to wear them so she doesn’t have to cancel any shows.
Nicks also says people give her “dirty looks” for wearing a mask. She told the outlet, “I dare anybody to give me a dirty look. I would just say, ‘Hey, you know what? I’m Stevie Nicks. And if I get sick, my entire thing goes down. Forty families are out of work. So that’s why I have a mask on, a–hole.'”
Stevie Nicks is probably the last person you want to mess with. Who knows what kind of spells she could cast on you? (Well, according to American Horror Story: Coven, Nicks is a “White Witch,” so if she were to cast a spell, it would be for good. But still, it might be best not to chance such a thing.)
Stevie Nicks is Appearing on Jason Kelce’s Christmas Album
Stevie Nicks has participated in a number of collaborations in her career, but this one might be the most unique.
The two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Famer is set to appear on A Philly Special Christmas Party, the third holiday release from retired Philadelphia Eagles great Jason Kelce. A post to the Instagram account for the New Heights podcast shows Nicks and Kelce together in a recording. It’s captioned, “The crossover we didn’t know we needed. Coming soon to a Christmas album near you.”
This unique pairing likely happened thanks to Taylor Swift, who is close friends with Nicks and is famously dating Travis Kelce, Jason’s brother and star tight end of the Kansas City Chiefs.
Funnily enough, Travis mentioned meeting Nicks on an episode of New Heights. According to People, Travis tells Jason, “You might be the only one in the family that hasn’t met her yet. Mom got to meet her down in Florida … and she is, I mean, every bit as what everyone makes her out to be.”
While it’s unknown what Nicks will be contributing to this Christmas album, it’ll surely make news again in either a preview or when A Philly Special Christmas Party is released on November 29.
