Two Car Crash with Rollover Downs Electric Pole in Hackensack
Drivers were asked to avoid the area as an extended operation is underway following a rollover crash in Hackensack that caused a telephone pole to be knocked down.
What We Know About This Rollover Crash In Hackensack
Early Friday morning, at approximately 7 AM, emergency crews responded to the area of Polifly Road and Route 80 for a reported accident.
Firefighters arrived to find two cars, one rolled over, and an electric pole knocked down with LIVE wires. Officials say the driver of the vehicle that rolled over was able to get themselves out before the arrival of the departments.
As a precaution, firefighters provided first aid. Additionally, one of the people involved in the accident was transported to an area hospital as a precaution.
The Aftermath
PSE&G Electric was called to the scene. Emergency personnel stayed on scene as power was secured and the overturned car was removed.
At this time, the direct cause of the accident is not known. No other injuries have been reported.
