The Benjamin Button: The Camera That Records Your Child’s Entire Upbringing
No, this is not something from an episode of Black Mirror! Parents now have the opportunity to record their child’s entire upbringing.
If you are thinking this is something you want for your kid, the device is currently in the Kickstarter phase. The campaign for the product started this past week and has already met their funding.
Called the Benjamin Button, the Kickstarter campaign states that their product hopes to help new parents capture every moment. The device “automatically picks the best moments and creates short movies that you can relive anytime.” All moments are filtered “based on face, sound and activity recognition software.”
The camera is rather small and can clip on to your kid or yourself. With the use of an app, the footage is all uploaded and then edited automatically. Once your short film is ready to go, parents can share their kid’s special moments with anyone. The Benjamin Button is also hands-free, so parents will not have to worry about the camera being annoying. It is also kid-safe, so you will not have to worry about your little nugget swallowing the device. Nearly invincible, the camera can “withstand dust, water, and also everyday crashes” says the Kickstarter.
The Benjamin Button is currently priced at $179 on Kickstarter. If you did not manage to pre-order the gadget on the site, the price will be increasing to $250.
The project is still available to fund. If you want to give money to the see the device become successful, there are a plethora of rewards you can receive. From multiple Benjamin Button cameras to becoming the first retail distributor, there is something for every person’s price point.
With this product, memories will certainly last a lifetime.
