Jimmy Fallon Rebooting ‘Password’ Game Show at NBC
Jimmy Fallon is behind a new reboot of the iconic game show Password at NBC.
Per Deadline, the Password reboot is one of six new projects Fallon is working on at the network. Other titles include That’s My Jam and Kids Tonight Show.
Fallon’s desire to reboot the game show shouldn’t be a major surprise as he has featured various Password game segments on The Tonight Show over the years.
Deadline notes, “[‘Password’] originally launched on CBS in 1961 and ran for over 1,500 episodes before moving to ABC in 1971. NBC revived the show in 1979 and 1984, and CBS also made a primetime series ‘Million Dollar Password’ in 2008.”
A premiere date for the new Password reboot is not currently known.
