Woody Guthrie’s 100th Birthday Celebration

On Saturday, September 8th the Ridgewood Christian Reformed Church will celebrate the 100th birthday of legendary American Folk musician, Woody Guthrie.  The church is located at 271 Lincoln Avenue in Ridgewood.  There will be several live performances from musicians and poets, along with an open mic session for anyone who would like to perform.  The Clifton-based Victoria Warne Band will also perform some of Guthrie’s beloved songs such as “This Land Is Your Land,” Vigilante Man,” and many more.  Along with the live performances, Nathan’s Hot Dogs will be served free of charge in honor of being Guthrie’s favorite treat.  For more information contact Emily Rose at ergo.therefore@gmail.com or 973-473-0368.
