The Masterwork Chorus will present a festive evening of music from Broadway at the Birchwood Manor, 111 N. Jefferson Rd, Whippany, on Friday, November 15, 2019, from 7-10:30 pm.
Entitled Tastes of Broadway, music will be presented in a dinner theatre atmosphere. Audience members will have the chance to bid on items during both live and silent auctions. The Masterwork Chorus will perform selections from Pippin, Wonderful Town and Les Misérables, as well as popular and familiar tunes from shows by Lerner and Loewe.
The featured solo artist for the evening will be the electrifying and popular cabaret singer and soloist, Steve Mitchell. Accompanied on the piano by Chris Shepard, music director of The Masterwork Chorus, Mr. Mitchell will present a set of Broadway standards. In addition to his cabaret work, Mr. Mitchell’s career as a classical soloist includes performances with The Miami Bach Society, the Florida Grand Opera, the Connecticut Concert Opera, the Hartford Symphony and The New World Symphony Orchestra.
