The Taste of Union event will be held on April 24th, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Knights of Columbus located at 1034 Jeanette Avenue in Union. This year’s recipient is Nicole (Nicky) Martin. Nicole was born with Cerebral Palsy and is non-ambulatory. She is loved by all her teachers and peers; she is currently a senior at Union High School with a great 4.0 GPA. She will be graduating in June and going to Union County College in Cranford, New Jersey in the fall. Most recently her family purchased a minivan; unfortunately they cannot afford to have a lift installed for Nicky’s electric wheelchair. This year’s goal is to assist the Martin family with the expenses for a lift to be put in the family’s minivan. This purchase will help Nicole when her mother transports her to and from school.
