Saint Clare’s Dover Hospital: The Weight Loss Surgery Program Support Group

Patients who attend a regularly scheduled support ground tend to have greater loss of excess weight compared to those who do not. To help meet the needs of our patients, Saint Clare’s Weight Loss Surgery Program offers support groups for individuals who have undergone bariatric surgery. During these groups, patients are given the opportunity to discuss various topics relating to weight loss and bariatric surgery. They gain support from people like themselves, who can relate to the struggle of obesity as well and the challenges and accomplishments following the bariatric procedure. The sessions are led by a medical professional who can answer questions and also lend support during their weight loss surgery.
