New Jersey Blood Service Blood Drive

November 18, 2012 12:00 AM - 12:00 AM

The First Presbyterian Church of Succasunna, 99 Main Street, Succasunna

With the difficult task of recovering and rebuilding after Hurricane Sandy ahead for the area, it is important that everyone do whatever they can to lend a helping hand to their neighbors.  That’s why the New Jersey Blood Service, A Division of the New York Blood Center, is asking for your help.  Due to the storm, their supply of blood has been depleted and needs replenishing.  With a shelf life of less than a week for platelets and 42 days for red blood cells, the supply is always in a constant state of decline; however you can help recuperate the supply on Sunday, November 18th.   The First Presbyterian Church of Succasunna will be holding a blood drive; located at 99 Main Street in Succasunna. The blood drive will begin 11AM through 5PM.  Donors are asked to be no less than 16 years of age and a minimum of 110lbs.  If you have any questions you can contact the blood center at 1-800-933-BLOOD (25663) or visit nybloodcenter.org  So this holiday season, please give the gift that keeps on living.
