Morris County Shelter Information

Morris CountyShelters are open for those without electricity or heat after the recent snow storm.
The following towns have reported shelter locations to Morris County OEM or have provided information via their official online communications:
Chatham Boro Red Cross Shelter available at Summit High School (http://www.chathamborough.org/chatham/)
Harding Twp Shelter is available at Christ the King, Blue Mill Road. Township hall is open with limited generator power, limited heat and some bottled water. There is a hose with non-potable water. (http://www.hardingnj.org/)
Long Hill Red Cross Shelters are open at Summit Middle School (Warming Shelter Only – Cots provided and overnight stays permitted, no food service), located at 272 Morris Avenue in Summit, NJ and at the Hunterdon County Complex, located at 314 Route 12 Flemington, NJ 08822. Mendham Township Brookside Fire House, 1 Cherry Lane
Morristown / Morris Township residents Mayor Timothy P. Dougherty has opened an Emergency Shelter and Warming Station at the Morristown Town Hall Senior Center (200 South Street, 3rd Floor) Open 24-7, until further notice for those who are without electricity or heat and need to charge cell phones. Mountain Lakes Mountain Lakes High School is open as a warming station and a shelter. Please use the gym entrance. Limited cots are available. Bring pillows, sleeping bags, blankets, air mattresses, etc. NO PETS are permitted.
Lake Drive School (10 Lake Drive) is open as a pet-friendly shelter for Mt. Lakes residents only (http://www.mtnlakes.org/)
Parsippany For residents who need a warm place to sleep, the Community Center at 1130 Knoll Road will be made available. Residents are asked to bring a pillow and blankets and Parsippany will provide the heat. (http://www.parsippany.net/)
