The phrase ‘Stepping up to the plate,’ has different meanings for everyone, but for the Morris Knolls High School Baseball team it doesn’t just mean walking onto a field.  Every year the Morris Knolls High School Baseball Program organizes and runs the MK5K Charity Run in Rockaway.  Fundraisers like help the club stay viable and competitive, while teaching high school sportsmanship, teamwork, and other skills they’ll need in their professional and personal lives. The race will be held on April 7th beginning at Diamond Spring Road at 9AM.   This year the team will be running in memory of their teammate Ryan Steidl.  Portions of the proceeds will be donated to a Scholarship Fund or a local family in need.  For more information visit http://www.mhrd.k12.nj.us/mk/mk5k/.
