Community Blood Services

Community Blood Services are desperately looking for more blood donors, specifically donors with the O negative blood type.  With the massive outbreak of the Flu and other illnesses in our area donation appointments have been scarce and many of the appointments we did have were cancelled.  O negative blood can be transfused into any patient no matter the blood type which only heightens its importance.  With only 7% of the donor population O negative this has created quite the shortfall in the “universal” blood type available.  Donors can call 201-251-3703 for hours and the locations of our donor centers and our mobile drives.  Walk in donors are always welcomed.
