Everyone at WMTR is excited for the 2026 Teachers Who Rock awards and banquet. There's barely a person alive who thinks that teachers are paid enough. They're totally getting the short end of the stick when it comes to compensation compared to how valuable they are to our local families. That's why WMTR is so proud of this important community program. Join us in celebrating the valuable role educators play in our children’s lives.
A good teacher will change the lives of our kids. As parents, we love when teachers make a true connection with our kids. At some point, the teacher makes all the difference. Here's our chance to be a difference maker for them!
What is the Teachers Who Rock Awards program?
The Teachers Who Rock program will recognize up to 25 outstanding teachers to receive this prestigious award for their important contribution to society. These teachers become lifetime members of the Teachers Who Rock Class.
In addition to recognizing outstanding teachers, we'll also recognize Educational Support Professionals in our community. Educational Support Professionals or ESP’s take care of our children every day and make sure they have the tools and resources to succeed in our schools and classrooms. ESP’s include paraprofessionals, secretaries, bus drivers, food service workers, custodial/maintenance workers and security personnel.
