On Nov. 1, Tractor Supply Company will donate over $1 million to first responders and veterans across the nation. This marks the start of their National Hometown Heroes Day program.
Each of the 2,300 stores will give $500 to nearby emergency services and veteran groups. The funds aim to boost local safety efforts and support those who protect their towns.
"The Hometown Heroes program reflects our deep gratitude for those who serve—military members, veterans, and first responders," Hal Lawton, president and CEO of Tractor Supply said in a statement, according to NJ.com. "These Heroes embody courage and commitment, and we're proud to honor them year-round. With National Hometown Heroes Day, we're taking that recognition further by uniting communities across the country to celebrate their service and sacrifice."
Across New Jersey, 49 groups will get help from 33 stores. The state's share adds up to $16,500 and will be distributed to organizations based on needs.
