4 New Jersey Restaurants Make Yelp’s Top 100 Of 2024
With the start of a new year, we see a nice mix of shout-outs in January. This includes “best of” features from the previous year, and then other what we have to look forward to this year. Yelp recently published the top 100 restaurants of 2024, and four New Jersey establishments made the top 20.
What is particularly rewarding here is that each place offers a completely different style of cuisine and experience. Between the ranks of 21 and 83, you will find New Jersey restaurants making their mark on Yelp’s top 100 list.
To compile this list, Yelp stuck with its community engagement strategy. “This year, our huge, food-loving community reviewed and rated their faves from coast to coast, so you can find lots of new restaurants to love, whether you’re at home or on the road,” they explained.
This final compilation is vast and, as you can imagine, covers just about every food group. Specifically, Yelp calls out how popular noodles seem to be in addition to Latin cuisine.

Boomchia in Montclair ranked #21
This establishment is colorful and full of “superfoods.” Boomchia is located at 427 Bloomfield Ave. Their menu allows you to customize your bowl. You start with a base (like dragonfruit or coconut), then top it with your favorite granola, fruit, and powders.
Jessica’s Café, Plainfield, ranked #37
Nestled into 150 Terrill Road in Plainfield, Jessica’s Café is a unique blend of Italian and French influences. For example, this menu gives you wood-fired meatballs and jumbo crab crepes right next to each other.
Kenko Sushi, Lincoln Park, ranked #65
Open just four days per week, Wednesday through Saturday, Kenko Sushi operates on a first come first serve basis. This holds true for their tables and what the chef prepares. Regardless of dine-in or takeout, you can find Kenko at 261 Comly Road, in Linkin Park.
Sabor Unido, Newark, ranked #83
“A family-run business serving traditional Brazilian and Portuguese food since 2012, Sabor Unido proudly blends culture and community in its laid-back space,” Yelp says. Their extensive menu is mostly entrees consisting of meat and seafood options. Sabor Unido opens everyday at 12pm and is located at 77 Jefferson St. in Newark.
