Tractor Trailer Carrying Fireworks Catches Fire In Bridgewater
A tractor-trailer carrying thousands of pounds of fireworks caught fire overnight giving travelers quite the show on I-287 in Bridgewater, New Jersey.
News 12 New Jersey first reported the accident after the fireworks ignited from the truck which can be seen in the video below. The explosion caused roadway shutdowns and traffic delays throughout the night.
According to News 12 New Jersey, there is no word on any injuries and the traffic is now moving along near Exit 14.
The Far Hills-Bedminster Fire Department located in Bedminster (pictured above) was dispatched as mutual aid to have their tanker run water shuttles alongside multiple Somerset County Fire companies as well as many other first responders.
