If you're a Stranger Things fan, here's some exciting news: Netflix has dropped a menacing new trailer for the show's fourth season.

The clip kicks off in a playroom, which seems to be the Hawkins National Laboratory, headed up by Dr. Martin Brenner (Matthew Modine), the "Papa" who kidnapped kids, like Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown).

An eerie man, likely Brenner, walks through the hall of the area, as kids in hospital gowns with shaved heads play checkers and other games.

"Today, I have something very special planned for you," he says in the clip.

The clip goes black, and he adds, “Eleven, are you listening?”

So, is this one of Eleven's nightmares? Is this a flashback? And, the big question, is Brenner still alive? Time will tell.

"I love that the fans are trying to figure out where Dr. Brenner is, because we're all wondering, you know, is he in the Upside Down? Did the demogorgon drag him away? Is he going to re-emerge?" Modine told NME last fall. "And the show's creators, the Duffer Brothers, have said that unless you see a body, the character's not dead. And obviously we never saw Dr. Brenner's body."

Production on season four of Stranger Things has been delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic. A season four release date has yet to be announced.
