New Jersey State Police Will Distribute More Than 2.4 Million Masks To Schools
The New Jersey State Police has begun the distribution of 2.4 million masks to students, educators, and staff at schools statewide.
The masks provided by the Federal Department of Health and Human Services are being prioritized for those in low income or high needs populations within the school community.
“More than 800 school entities, including public school districts, charter schools, renaissance school projects, non-public schools, and approved private schools for students with disabilities will be receiving an allotment of masks,” Governor Murphy said in a COVID briefing.
Superintendent of the State Police, Colonel Pat Callahan, and the Department of Education are coordinating directly with school leaders to confirm their allotment of masks.
