Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Dreams’ is Back on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart
Fleetwood Mac continues to cruise on the recent success of the super-viral TikTok clip of @420doggface208 lip-syncing to “Dreams” while skateboarding and drinking straight from a bottle of Ocean Spray Cran-Raspberry.
Per Billboard, “Dreams” has re-entered the most-recent Billboard Hot 100 chart, which is dated for October 17. The Rumours track now sits at number 21 on the chart, which is the first time it’s been on the chart since 1977.
The Nielsen Music/MRC Data on which the Hot 100 is based showed that since October 8, “Dreams” was streamed 13.4 million times (an increase of 54%) and was downloaded 22,000 times (an increase of 197%.)
When it was originally released, “Dreams” topped the Billboard Hot 100 for one week in June 1977. This latest appearance on the Hot 100 is the band’s highest ranking on the chart since 1988 when their single “Everywhere” topped out at number 17.
