Graceland, the iconic home of Elvis Presley that’s now a major tourist attraction, was vandalized a couple of days ago with a number of phrases including “BLM” (Black Lives Matter) and “Defund the Police.”

Per Memphis, Tenn. newspaper¬†The Commercial Appeal, the graffiti was located on a perimeter wall around Presley’s estate that is a popular spot where fans write messages and tributes to the singer when they visit Graceland, especially during the candlelight vigil that’s held every year on the anniversary of Presley’s death.

Other Memphis landmarks were also tagged with graffiti, including Levitt Shell, an open-air amphitheater in nearby Overton Park.

In a statement to¬†The Commercial Appeal, Graceland spokesperson David Beckwith said of the graffiti, “Graceland has no comment.”
