James Lipton, ‘Inside The Actor’s Studio’ Host, Passes Away
James Lipton, the writer and host for Inside The Actors Studio has died. According to TMZ, he passed away this morning after his battle with bladder cancer. His wife told the outlet, “There are so many James Lipton stories, but I’m sure he would like to be remembered as someone who loved what he did and had tremendous respect for all the people he worked with.”
James Lipton began Inside The Actors Studio in 1994 and retired in 2018 after 22 seasons. The program still airs; however, it is with other hosts. He was a writer for various TV programs, including Capitol, Return to Peyton Place, The Doctors, The Best of Everything, and Another World. James was also an actor on shows including, Arrested Development, Bewitched, Guiding Light, The Goldbergs, Cold Squad, You Are There, and Disney’s Bolt. James was 93 years old.
