Apple Announces iPhone 11, Apple Watch Series 5, and More
Apple just streamed their annual #AppleEvent, where they announced new products that will be released this month. The highlights: Apple Arcade, the Apple Watch Series 5 (and a less expensive Series 4!), the seventh generation iPad, and the iPhone 11.
As cnet explains, here’s what is coming to Apple:
Apple Arcade and Apple TV Plus:
Apple TV Plus, Apple’s streaming service, will launch November 1 for $4.99 a month — this is two dollars a month cheaper than Disney’s soon-t0-launch Disney Plus. Additionally, anyone who purchases an iPhone, Mac or Apple TV will get a year of Apple TV Plus for free.
Apple Arcade, Apple’s gaming service, will launch on September 19 for $4.99a month.
The seventh-generation iPad:
The new generation of iPad will be a new 10.2-inch tablet that will start at $329. It will be in stores on September 30. This iPad can be used with the Apple Pencil, a detachable keyboard, and — according to Apple — an all-day battery life. Also, good news for educators: they will be able to get the tablet at a discounted $299 price.
The Apple Watch Series 5:
The new Apple Watch Series 5 will be in stores on September 20. The GPS model will start at $399, with cellular it will cost $499. Some features of the new watch include always-on displays, a compass, and a decibel reader. The older Apple Watch 3, from 2017, will now go for $199.
The iPhone 11:
The newest phone in the Apple family will be the iPhone 11. This phone will have three rear cameras, and a A13 bionic chip, which will make it faster. It will also have a camera night mode, 4k videos for both cameras, better battery life, and faster Face ID locking (even though the face of the phone will not change).
This phone will also come in new colors, including red, purple, white, green, and yellow.
The best part of the iPhone 11: It will start at $699, which is significantly lower than the phones before it.
