Kristen Stewart: Robert Pattinson Is ‘The Only Guy’ Who Could Play Batman
Robert Pattinson is the next Batman, and Kristen Stewart has feelings about it —very positive ones. In a new interview, Stewart showed full support for Pattinson as Batman. She went as far as saying that he’s a perfect choice for the Dark Knight.
When talking to Variety at the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of her new movie, Seberg, Stewart praised her Twilight co-star’s casting. “I feel like he’s the only guy that could play that part,” she said. “I’m so happy for him. It’s crazy. I’m very, very happy about that. I heard that and I was like, ‘Oh man!’ It’s awesome.”
In an interview with Variety last week, Pattinson revealed that he’s practically been preparing for this role his whole life. “When I was a kid, it was the only outfit that I had,” Pattinson said about his love for Tim Burton’s Batman. But, another reason Pattinson would make for a good Caped Crusader is those cheekbones, something, that when asked, Stewart agreed full-heartedly with.
After revealing that she was once told hiding her sexuality would help her get a Marvel movie, Stewart also told Variety she would be interested in playing a gay superhero onscreen one day. “I’m down,” she said. “I’m definitely not turning that down.”
