Weekdays 10AM - 3PM

On This Day in History…

1882 – The United States Congress passes the Chinese Exclusion Act. It was the first law implemented to prevent all members of a specific ethnic or national group from immigrating to the United States.

1937 – Hindenburg disaster: The German zeppelin Hindenburg catches fire and is destroyed within a minute while attempting to dock at Lakehurst, New Jersey. Thirty-six people are killed.  On a personal note last year, my aunt gave me a letter written by my late mother, who has relayed how she watched the Hindenburg fly over her school in Boston as it approached New Jersey that day.
