Aretha Franklin “Gravely Ill,” Family Asking For Prayers

Many are saying a little prayer for Aretha Franklin this morning as her family reveals she is “gravely ill.”

Per reports from Showbizz411.com and NBC affiliate WDIV-TV, the “Queen of Soul” is surrounded by her family at this time who are asking for prayers as she’s battling an undisclosed illness.  No additional details are known at this time.

Recent health issues have led to Franklin canceling a number of performances as of late, and in February 2017, Franklin announced she was retiring from touring.  Her last public performance was at Elton John’s AIDS Foundation gala in New York City in November 2017.
