‘Springsteen on Broadway’ Special Coming to Netflix

Bruce Springsteen’s Springsteen on Broadway has been one of the hottest (and priciest) tickets on Broadway, but fans who won’t have a chance to experience the show live before it closes are in luck.

Per The Boss’s official website, Springsteen on Broadway will be coming to Netflix on December 15, which also happens to be the final night of the show’s run at the Walter Kerr Theatre.  In total, the show will have run for 236 performances, all of which sold out. The show’s remarkable success also netted Springsteen a Special Tony for his contributions.

As for when this special will be recorded, The New York Times reports that Springsteen recorded the special this week during two extra performances before a private audience.  

Oh...what we would have given to simply people-watch at that performances.  You just know some big names were in attendance!
