Wayback Wednesday celebrates the 68th birthday of David Foster, the great Canadian record producer, composer, songwriter and arranger. He’s produced a dizzying array of artists, from Kenny Rogers, to Chicago, Rod Stewart to Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson to Barbra Streisand…even Andrea Bocelli.

David has won 16 Grammy awards, and has had 47 nominations. But did you know he began his career as the keyboardist for Skylark, who had this Top 10 hit in 1973? You don’t really see much of David…with the focus on lead singer Donny Gerrard…but he’s in there…performing “Wildflower” on the Midnight Special!
