Can’t say I’m surprised by this.

An upcoming biopic will now star Jared Leto as the pajama-clad party boy Hugh Heffner.

Director Brett Ratner told The Hollywood Reporter that “Jared is an old friend… When he heard I got the rights to Hef’s story, he told me, ‘I want to play him. I want to understand him.’ And I really believe Jared can do it. He’s one of the great actors of today.”

The story has been fueled as an idea since 2007, and initially, Robert Downey Jr. was the suggested actor to play Hef, but honestly, with all the method acting that Leto uses, we can definitely see the Playboy character in him, and he’s probably already forming his ideas and studying who Hugh was.

Until then, we will get to see him in Blade Runner 2049.

Amy Cooper is one with the force and the force is with her.
