AM/FM CHIEF ENGINEER

Description: Beasley Media Group is looking for an AM/FM Chief Engineer in the New Jersey area for our (4) FM’s and (2) AM’s. Applicants must have at least a two-year electronics degree with the ability to maintain radio studios and AM and FM transmitter sites.

Qualifications:

  • More than five years of radio engineering experience
  • Ability to communicate issues with upper management while managing staff, maintenance, emergencies, capital projects
  • Must ensure compliance with FCC rules and regulations
  • AM/FM experience
  • IT experience is preferred
  • Must be willing and available to provide after-hours on call support
  • Must be able to carry 50 pounds, climb a ladder and provide general building and grounds maintenance as needed
  • Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY MANAGER

Description: Information Technology and Radio Broadcasting: the convergence of these two technology fields creates an interesting, exciting career opportunity. Beasley Media Group has an opening for an Information Technology Manager in their New Jersey markets. We are looking for a high energy, self-motivated person with outstanding customer service skills. The New Jersey cluster includes six stations: WMTR-AM/WDHA-FM in Morristown, WCTC-AM/WMGQ-FM in New Brunswick, and WRAT-FM and WJRZ-FM in the Monmouth-Ocean area.

Job Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain general office computers;
  • Maintain broadcast related computers and network connected devices;
  • Manage the local computer networks and WAN;
  • Manage local phone systems and mobile phone support for users;.
  • Support staff with all computer related hardware and software needs;
  • Maintain documentation in respect to all network, computer, and user information;
  • Coordinate with Internet Provider(s) to maintain peak WAN performance.

Qualifications:

  • Strong Computer knowledge of Windows operating systems;
  • Knowledge of Networking protocol and troubleshooting;
  • Prior use of Audiovault Automation for Radio, or other automation systems, with configuration and setup skills highly desired;
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products;
  • Ability to prioritize projects, administrate tasks with attention to detail and adhere to budgets;
  • 2+ years in IT management a must;
  • Valid driver’s license is required;
  • At least two years of formal IT training or five years of responsible work experience in IT (Sys Admin/Manager/Director, etc.);
  • Must have basic tools to complete general work requirements.

STATION ENGINEER

If you are looking to get your foot in the door of the radio industry this is your chance! We are looking for bright, enthusiastic individuals with outgoing personalities and a keen attention to detail. Our internships offer the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in radio, to network with on-air personalities and station executives, and to shadow various departments to expand your knowledge.

All majors are accepted, and credit is required. This position is unpaid. You must be available to work a minimum 15-20 hours a week. You must be 18 years or older and provide a valid driver’s license.
