Billy Joel, Rod Stewart, Dave Clark Five and Herman's Hermits are among the 20 nominees for the Pop Music Hall of Fame's class of 2017.
The Pop Hall does not have a brick-and-mortar building yet but is working towards that, and it's been inducting artists since 2014. Also on this year's list are Motown favorites the Four Tops, Diana Ross, Marvin Gaye and the Jackson 5, Michael Jackson as a solo artist, Tommy James & the Shondells, Herb Albert & the Tijuana Brass, Lou Christie, Petula Clark, John Denver, the 5th Dimension, Tony Orlando & Dawn, Johnny Rivers and Earth, Wind & Fire.
Public voting runs through December 2 at AmericanPopMusicHallofFame.org/vote, and the inductees will be announced later that month.
