RECIPE: Trail Mix Energy Bites

September is National Honey Month and we're celebrating nature's sweet treat with recipes sure to have your family buzzing your hive and asking for seconds.

We're kicking on our celebration of honey with a recipe that's are perfect for families on the go and school lunches.

When you're in need of quick pick-me-up, trail mix is a great solution.  Our friends at Sue Bee Honey have crafted a perfect solution for those of us who want stay healthy while grabbing a fast snack.

Trail Mix Energy Bites

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup Sue Bee® Honey
  • 1 cup dry oatmeal
  • 2/3 cup toasted coconut flakes
  • 2/3 cup roughly chopped roasted salted almonds
  • 1/2 cup almond butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. Stir all ingredients together in a medium bowl until thoroughly mixed.
  2. Cover and let chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  3. Once chilled, roll into balls of whatever size you’d like.
  4. Store in airtight container and keep refrigerated for up to 1 week
