Paul McCartney was not about to let a performance in Minneapolis go by without paying some tribute to its late native son Prince.
On Wednesday (May 4), McCartney and his band played the Purple One's 1984 hit "Let's Go Crazy," introducing it by dedicating the concert to "the late, great Prince" and telling the crowd, "Minneapolis, Prince, Prince, Minneapolis -- it all goes together. Here's to the man. Loved that guy. Thank you, Prince, for writing so many beautiful songs. So much music."
McCartney had previously paid tribute to Prince on Twitter, calling him a "creative giant" following his death on April 21.
