The fan vote for the 2016 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominee class has ended and the winner is…
Out of the 15 nominees, Chicago amounted for a whopping 23.41% of the vote, followed by Yes with 16.2%, The Cars with 16.14%, Deep Purple with 15.87% and Steve Miller with 15.85%.
The fan vote counts as a single ballot to help determine the next Rock Hall class, so while Chicago aren’t guaranteed for induction, it’s clear the people have spoken. However, it bares mentioning that all previous winners of the fan vote – Rush, KISS and Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble – were inducted.
